Size Guide
Our shoes are listed in European sizing. Use the conversions below to find your equivalent, and measure your foot if you are uncertain — five minutes now is better than a return later.

Every product page shows which sizes are in stock for that particular pair. If your size is unavailable, use Notify me when back in stock and we will email you the moment it returns — before it is announced anywhere else.
How to measure your foot
Measure in the evening, when your feet are at their largest.
- Place a sheet of paper flat against a wall on a hard floor
- Stand on it with your heel touching the wall, wearing the socks you would wear with the shoes
- Mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe — which is not always the big toe
- Measure from the wall edge to the mark, in centimetres
- Repeat for the other foot, and use the larger measurement
If you are between sizes
Take the larger size. Fine leather relaxes and moulds to the foot with wear, so a pair that is snug on day one will loosen. One that is tight will stay tight.
If you are between sizes and intend to wear thicker socks — with boots, for instance — the larger size is the clear choice.
Fit by style
- Oxfords — a closed lacing system, so they fit more precisely than other styles. Take your true size.
- Loafers — no laces to adjust, so fit depends entirely on size. They should feel secure at the heel without pinching; they will loosen slightly with wear.
- Monk straps — the buckle allows some adjustment across the instep, which helps with a higher arch.
- Boots — consider the socks you will actually wear. If those are thicker, size up.
Getting it right first time
- Measure rather than assuming — sizing varies between brands, and your size elsewhere may not be your size here
- Try new shoes on indoors, on carpet, before wearing them out; this keeps a return possible
- Walk in them for a few minutes; a shoe can feel different standing still than in motion
- Leather eases with wear — expect a little snugness at first, but never pain
- Ask us if you are unsure. We would far rather answer a question than process a return.
